NAMI HelpLine
Information, resource referrals and support for people affected by mental illness, and their families.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness runs an information and referral line staffed largely by people with lived experience of mental illness, or by family members.
Like Mind's line in the UK, this is the place for the procedural questions — how to navigate insurance, how to find a provider, what to do when someone refuses treatment.

Is something here wrong?
A number that no longer works is the most serious thing that can go wrong on this site. If you have tried one of these and it did not connect, please tell us and we will check it the same day.
We are not affiliated with NAMI HelpLine and we do not speak for them. This page describes their service as they publish it; their own site is always the authority.
