Pieta
Free, professional therapy for people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm, plus a 24-hour crisis line.

Pieta is unusual in this sector: as well as a crisis line it provides free, in-person therapy with accredited therapists, with no referral needed and no charge. That combination is rare anywhere and it removes the two barriers people most often hit — cost and a waiting list gatekeeper.
It also supports people bereaved by suicide, and runs Darkness Into Light, the annual dawn walk that funds much of the service.

Is something here wrong?
A number that no longer works is the most serious thing that can go wrong on this site. If you have tried one of these and it did not connect, please tell us and we will check it the same day.
We are not affiliated with Pieta and we do not speak for them. This page describes their service as they publish it; their own site is always the authority.
