Befrienders Worldwide is the international network that grew out of the same movement as Samaritans. Member centres share a common commitment: confidential, non-judgemental listening, with no agenda and no requirement that you be in crisis to call.
Coverage is uneven — some countries have several centres, others none — but where a centre exists it is usually the most established emotional support service in that country.
